SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (2001):
This is a multiple-worlds site with short duration mpeg-1 movie maps (touch sensor activated), audio soundscapes and several red-blue anaglyph 3D textures. When it was created in 1997, adequate viewing required gamer video cards and fast processors. Today's generation of personal computers more than adequately covers these requirements.
To view VRML (without 'stutter'): the recommended SYSTEM is at least a fast Pentium-class PC, over 128 megs of RAM with 60 megs avail. memory, large cache, fast modem or DSL, a (minimum 16 meg) video card with 3D graphics acceleration. Optimized for COSMO 2.0/2.1 PLAYER with I.E. 4/5/6 or NETSCAPE 4.X plus - for true specification browsing.
To view Java applet and Vrml 2.0 content on this site you require a browser installed Java Virtual Machine, noteworthy for those using XP operating systems and pre-bundled IE (typically without Java runtime). Java VM upgrades are a typical requirement for those interested in 3D applications.
